A failure

As part of The Thankful Project, I'm supposed to discuss a failure.

Something I've learned over the last couple years is that it's okay to fail.  Everyone makes mistakes.  Everyone fails at one many points in their life.  And if someone tells you they haven't made any mistakes, they haven't failed at something, or that their life is perfect...they're full of shit.  You can't live in fear of failure, it's a part of life. It's going to happen whether you like it or not, whether you're prepared for it or not.

Sure, I've failed at many things. I've failed tests or quizzes in school. I've failed at being a good friend at times.  I've failed at making or baking things. It happens.  But with every failure there is a lesson to be learned.  You learn better ways to study, to ask for help, to be kind, to follow directions, to be a more grateful and better person.  Whatever your mistakes or failures may be, there's always something to learn from it.

Mistakes and failures are a way of life.  They shape and mold you into the person you are today.  They help you and guide you to becoming a better, stronger, and smarter someone.  And I am entirely grateful for that.

PS:
everyone fails.

I'm headed to Florida tonight with my mama for 6 days.  If I don't respond to comments or emails it's because I'm soaking up the sun and enjoying my vacation.  I've scheduled some posts for the few days I'll be gone that follow The Thankful Project.  I hope you have a wonderful, gratifying week!
