I'm a scaredy cat. It's fine.

Today, with Blogtember, I'm supposed to write about a time I was very afraid.

I created this masterpiece.... 98% joking. Okay, 100%.

I've been trying to think of a time I was afraid, I mean reallllllly afraid, all day.
I couldn't think of anything.  I have a terrible memory. Like, I'm not sure what I ate for breakfast- terrible memory.  That's a lie, I know exactly what I had for breakfast, and it was delicious...but you get my drift.

I was pretty scared the whole month when my Grandpa was passing, but he had been suffering so much, for so long, I knew he'd be better off past the pearly gates.  I was scared for my Grandma, my mom and all her sisters.  I was scared what life would be like with him gone.  But with him gone, I've come to cherish my own life and the lives of my family that much more.

I've told you about a childhood memory from Blog Everyday in May that was pretty darn scary.
I've also shared what my biggest fear is.
So now, I'll give you a little list of things that make my heart skip a beat, then race like there's no tomorrow.
A list of my irrational, silly fears looks a little like this...
basically...
spiders. Any and all kinds...they scare the bejesus out of me.
bathroom scenes in scary movies. I cannot and will not watch them. Ever. For fear of a murderer behind my closed shower curtain, a ghost's head in my toilet (what?), or a vicious kidnapper waiting to snatch me whenever I close my eyes to wash my face.
when I'm home alone and the outside motion light comes on.  Not cool, Mr. Rabbit. Not. Cool.
birds flying above me.  I think I'm more scared of being shat on than anything...
my basement. I run the fastest when it's up my basement stairs and the boogey man is after me.
haunted houses. I hate the suspense and if you jump out and scare me I have zero control over my fists. Also, diapers are a necessity.
an ax murderer under my car or in my backseat just waiting to grab me. Yeah. Just, yeah.
sharks miraculously appearing in my pool while I night swim.  Come on, I can't be the only one!

Okay, that should be enough ammo for you to use against me.
Happy Friday!

  1. First off, I'm so sorry to hear about your grandfather. :(

It feels kinda inappropriate, because I totally had a few giggles when I got to the other half of your post - but only because I can relate to it! Frogs for me are what spiders are to you. Yes to the Psycho scene in the shower. I ALWAYS get that when I'm showering at an unfamiliar place - hotels especially.

And... birds. Only because they seem to like divebombing me - like, seriously, they fly past my head so close. And... I've been popped on 3 times. 3 times in my life!!! It's not fair. :(

I heard some time ago that to get pooped on by a bird means good luck. How is it good luck to get poo in your hair? *cries*

    1. Thank you for your condolences and it's so not inappropriate! I felt the need to try to be funny after throwing that depressing tid bit in my post.

THREE TIMES?! I heard it's supposed to be good luck to get pooped on, too, but THREE times?! That's a little too much luck for my wanting...

Thank you times a million for stopping by and commenting :) You seriously made my day!

  2. I am totally with you on the spider thing. And believe it or not men are more likely to be arachnophobic than women. Kinda goes against stereotypes doesn't it? I freak about spiders but can pick up a snake with no second thought. Odd I know. Anywhoo, I love your blog!

    1. Haha that's too funny! I do know quite a few guys who hate spiders as much as me. I'm really not scared of snakes either, unless they pop out of nowhere at my feet...

Thank you so much for checking my blog out =) It means a lot!

  3. I totally freak out about people under my car too. I always try to peek under as I'm walking towards it and then hop in real fast! What is wrong with me!?
